Down but not out

I met an older man yesterday, he has been living on the streets for a few weeks now, he is in a wheel chair and has some physical problems. But you do not hear him complain about his condition. What a blessing it was to talk to John about the messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. He was very versed in the Scriptures and has memorized much of them. John is looking for a home, please pray for the Lords will to be done. Many of the subsidised housing around Knoxville is in neighborhoods that neither you or I would care to live in. I would not like John to live in them either. So for the past few weeks he has decided to live here on the streets and at the mission. John is a testimony to others here, he asked me for some tracts so he could hand them out! I gladly gave him a stack a Bible and some reading material. He has proven himself and I enjoy helping those who put forth their effort to learning more about the Lord and spreading His Gospel. John is down, but not out! He is still going on for the Lord in spite of his condition. It seems that there are a lot of "predators" here on the streets, they look for those that seem easy to take advantage of. They don't rob the man that's six foot six, healthy, strong and weighs about 250. No, they rob the old feeble man, that's stooped over and in bad health, or the one that is bound to a wheel chair. They have no conscience and God will reward them according to their deeds. Please pray for the safety of John and the many other feeble folks on the streets.
