Only God can fix them

Yesterday I met a couple (for privacy, I'll not use peoples real names anymore) I'll just refer to them as Herbert and Sandy. Sandy has several problems, she has been living on the streets here for several weeks, she says she is from Idaho. I saw her today with a sling on her arm so I asked her what happened. She said she fell while camping out. I never saw her arm but she said she had severely bruised her elbow. She went on to tell me how she also has diabetes, migrains, arthritis, seizures, and on and on she went! Sometimes I think people want to find something wrong with them physically to justify why they are living like they are. Sandy is probably in her mid twenties. Here is what I have learned: If you can convince a man that he's "broken" or that something is wrong with him, then that will be the button he pushes every time to get out of doing what he doesn't want to do! "I can't because the doctor said I have ........." I have talked with a young man about twenty one years old, he will not work or do anything because the doctors have told him he has a "learning disability" and this "learning disability" gets him about eight hundred dollars of government support each month plus food stamps and many other resources. So, what is this young mans debilitating learning disability, he's not good at math! Yep, that's right, not good at math so he's disabled. It is easy to get frustrated with it all when it seems that everyones a victim, everyone has it worse that anybody else. There's no case as bad as theirs. But, this is just the most common and basic way man chooses to avoid doing things he doesn't want to do. Remember when you told your parents you were sick so you did't have to go to school? Have you ever called into work telling them you were sick when you just didn't want to go? This is the same thing, except now "doctors" are giving the patients the excuses in fancy medical terms! (why would they do that?) So, how can this problem be fixed? Well, I believe the Bible has the answer!

Mar 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
Mar 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
Mar 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
Mar 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
Mar 5:29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Yes, I believe Jesus is the answer for these kind of problems too! Faith exercised in Christ healed this lady. So, when many look at these homeless people and say that they are a lost cause, and a hopeless case, they will never change, I must remember if these people's cure is left up to our abilitis we can't change them, but with God's abilities He can!
