I was in a camp today and I met another 4 men living in the back of a run down semi trailer. Just like the ones that I have pictures of in one of the previous posts. Please pray for these men as they spend their days looking for aluminum cans to cash in so they can buy mouthwash to drink. For those who may not know, mouthwash has about 40% alcohol in it. I had met one of these men before and when I did I gave him a Gospel tract. He shared that tract with the other 3 men and they commented about it and said that they liked to read and would like more. Maybe some seed will fall on good ground. These men are in pitiful shape, all are strong middle aged men, one was recovering from a broken leg, the other I was told has leukemia, and another is said to have a.i.d.s. Some of these may be true, some may just be lies to get pitty. Lies or not, these men need the Lord. They know me as "the preacher" I am surprised at how fast they were willing to hear about the Bible, it even came up in the conversation to have a Bible study right there. These men know God can help them, but I don't think that they know that Gods help comes through Jesus Christ. They realized that prayer is good and helpful and even asked me to pray for them right there. Plainly put, these men are drunks, and they will talk religion if they can get something out of the preacher. But I wonder how willing they will be to participate in a Bible study that condemns their actions? Please pray for them and myself as I continue to witness to them.
