Sorry for the long delay on giving you a recent update, it has been busy around here. We are just "keeping on keeping on" in spite of many difficulties, we are pressing on. I am still working with a group of homeless men, and two women about 10 in number. I have been bringing them blankets and tracts when I visit them. They need the Lord, they think that they have God in their lives, but I don't think so. They sum up Gods goodness like this: "I should be dead by now, but God has blessed me and I'm still here." That is the extent of their relationship with God! "I should be dead, but I'm not." I see these men and women live their days, day in and day out just to get drunk again. Every nickle, every aluminum can, every thing of value is used to make them "feel good!" The Bible speaks of these when it says: "their god is their belly." That is who they are serving, themselves. That is their real addiction, self. Pray for Charles, he has two children, one daughter and one son. He knows nothing about how they are doing, he hasn't seen his son in over 5 years. He would rather satisfy his flesh than sacrifice and take care of his son. Oh, pray that Christ would enter into their hearts! They cannot see their real problem, their selfish sin. They blame it on every thing else. "I was traumatized in the war", "I had a hard childhood", "I have a disability", "Somethings wrong with me", "I lost my job", and on and on they go, evading the truth. These are the reasons they think they are here! Because of something out of their control, something else is always to blame, and they are the victims that just got dealt a "bad hand." This is a well devised lie to damn and to destroy mens souls! I'm not really a sinner, I'm not really to blame for my sins, Its not my fault! And if they believe this they will realize that God will have to be unjust to punish them for things that are not their fault! But it's all a lie! God will judge them, as He will judge all the earth! For every thought, and every deed! And the testimony of God's Word is this: All have sinned! and all are under condemnation! Thats why all need the Saviour! So, come! Every one thats thirsty, come! Come to Christ! Fall on Him who alone is able to save your souls! The one who will judge you is the one who died for you! Come, come to Him! Turn from you self, turn to Him! Repent and believe what He has done for you!
Pro 13:18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.
Pro 15:32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
Pro 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Pro 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Pro 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Pro 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
Pro 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
Pro 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
Pro 1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Pro 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
Pro 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
Pro 1:30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
Pro 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
Pro 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
Pro 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
